Privacy policy

This policy covers this website and applies across our products. Each product also has its own privacy notice with the specifics: Orbit and FIENDS. Where they are more specific, the product notice applies.
Who we are
Foundry Apps ("we", "us") is a trading name registered in Guernsey, Channel Islands. We are the data controller for the products described here, and we're registered with the Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA).

This website
foundryapps.co.uk sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) for security and reliability.
What our products collect
- Orbit: your email address and sign-in details if you create an account; your preferences, followed launches and alert settings; a rounded location only if you turn on sky alerts; and, for Pro, subscription status (payment details are handled by Paddle, not us). Error reports help us fix bugs.
- FIENDS: the details you give in a tryout application (for example in-game name, rank, age, country and contact details), used only to assess your application. Applications are deleted after 12 months unless you join the club.
- Anything you email us: the content of your message, used to reply.
Why we use it (lawful bases)
- To provide a service you asked for (performance of a contract, or steps before one, such as assessing a tryout application).
- To keep our products secure and working, and to improve them (legitimate interests).
- Where we ask for it, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel: website and application hosting.
- Supabase: databases and sign-in (EU and UK regions).
- Paddle: payments for Orbit Pro. Paddle is the Merchant of Record, and its own privacy policy covers payment data.
- Sentry: error reports for Orbit.
- Discord: FIENDS staff are alerted to new tryout applications in a private Discord channel. The alert contains only in-game name, game, ranks and whether it's an individual or a team.
Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards.
Cookies
This website uses none. Orbit uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, and Paddle may set its own cookies during checkout. FIENDS uses cookieless visitor analytics. We do not use advertising cookies anywhere.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 90 days of you closing it. FIENDS tryout applications are deleted after 12 months unless you join the club. Financial records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Email david@foundryapps.co.uk and we'll respond within a month. You can also complain to the ODPA at odpa.gg.

We'll update this page when things change and show the date above.
